Robbie Williams' love of 'the beautiful game' has resulted in the formation of LA Vale, a team of athletes and celebrities based around Robbie's hometown in Los Angeles. The team has already battled it out on the pitch with professional team, Des Moines Menace, in a recently organised exhibition game.
Having tested themselves against the pros, and warmed themselves up in a series of friendlies, LA Vale have now joined the LA Premier League (30+ age division). Established in 2002, the League plays host to 10 West Coast teams and runs for 20 weeks, with all matches to be played at the League's home ground in Santa Monica at the Crossroads School field.
